6 Brilliant Tricks to Book Cheap Flight Tickets|Cleartrip Offers on Flight Tickets

Travelling is the best thing to spruce up your monotonous life. If you are a person who loves to explore different destinations irrespective of time or age, then you should know some smart travel booking tricks and tips. Flying is fun, but booking flight tickets at the last minute can leave a big hole in your pocket. So, here we are to throw some light on how to book cheap flight tickets. This for sure can save you a fortune on your travel budget.

Cleartrip offers

Be the early bird –

The golden rule of booking a ticket early can never be wrong. This, in fact, is the best way to grab air tickets at the cheapest price. All you need to do is plan your travel pretty well in advance. This keeps the last minute surprises at bay. Almost all the airfares come with whopping early bird discounts. So why wait for off seasons or festive discount ? Be smart and save big.

Keep your searches a Hush-Hush affair –

Have you observed the raised airfare amounts every time you visit the booking website? Well, that’s because these portals are smart enough to save your cookies and server details. A small hint of you visiting the website for the second time with the same search will show you increased fares. The best way to tackle this is to use a private browser or incognito tab in chrome browser to do your searches. This keeps all your information private and you will see the lowest prices every time.

Use a flight comparison site –

No matter how hasty you are, make sure to use flight comparison sites to get the best deal. Some of the popular websites include Skyscanner, Momondo, Kayak and more. These websites give you detailed information on flight listings to your desired destination along with relative prices from different airlines. Well, a small trick here is to choose the entire month instead of a particular date of your departure. This will give the cheapest time to fly in peace.

Be open to different airlines –

It is well known that a round trip works out cheaper most of the time. The fact is the return flights are a way cheaper. Go an extra step to explore the different flights offered by different airlines. Be flexible about the flight timings. You never know how lucky you can get to grab the best price ever.

Know the best days to book your air ticket –

Never book your flight tickets on weekends. The airfares shoot rocket high starting from Friday’s till Sunday’s. The prices start getting better on Monday and Tuesday. So, the best days to book your flight tickets for cheapest prices are on Wednesday and Thursday. So, now you know when to book your flight ticket for your next trip.

Choose the airline websites for booking air tickets –

With a plethora of travel booking websites, it is pretty easy to book tickets on any of the websites. It can get tricky at times and you can grab the cheapest price on an airline website itself than on the booking websites. This can save you from the extra service charges to save on your travel budget.

Apart from the above-mentioned points, look for offers and discounts on domestic or international flights. Cleartrip offers amazing discounts on both domestic and international flights. Visit Cleartrip.com via Xerve.in to grab the best deals & to save more money.

Anyway, unfortunately for me, I always happen to be the one who has to come up with a plan for the weekends. While this might not be a herculean task, my co-weekenders never co-operate. One wants to do something in the outskirts of the city, and the other wants to just hog, and by the time I find a place matching all their needs, its’ Sunday evening. Top 5 Forts in India that You Must Visit in Your Lifetime | Book Tickets At BookMyShow

“Share if you want to leave everything and travel right now.”

How many times have you shared or seen such posts being shared on your social media timeline while knowing that eventually, no one is going anywhere? Sad, right? And when most of us think of this post, a picture of a foreign location comes to our mind. Why?

Despite knowing how vast and culturally beautiful India is, we want to burn our pocket and search solace at some foreign land. India is enriched with architectural beauty due to its cultural diversity. Each of these architectural beauties holds a story of their own. A quick look at its history tells us why. It is not only because India has been invaded and ruled by several foreign rulers who left their impression, but because it was divided into many parts – each part having a ruler with different ideology and likelihood for beauty.

Why don’t we try to listen to their stories first before taking out our passport? If we give the stories a home, they will live in forts. Forts made by different rulers at different times with different values embedded in them. Let’s take a look at the top five forts in India that you must visit in your lifetime:

Tughlaqabad Fort, Delhi:
Once upon a time, a person named Ghazi Malik who was a feudatory of the Khalji rulers suggested that his master build a fort on the Southern hillock of Delhi. His master joked around it and told Malik to build it when and if he became a king someday. Later in 1321, Ghazi Malik, after driving the Khaljis away, assumed the title of Giyas-ud-din Bin Tughlaqand started constructing this fort with an intention to keep the Mongol marauders away.

The fort is divided into two divisions: the citadel and the palaces on the South and the city to the North. The citadel is still somewhat intact and the walls of the palaces can still be noted. However, the city part is in the ruins. Only its street-alignment can be discerned, that too, with difficulty. Legends say, due to an altercation between the king and Sufi saint HajratNijamuddinAuliya during the establishment of the fort, the saint cursed for the downfall of the fort along with the Tughlaq dynasty. Seems like his words came true.Top Forts In India Tughlaqabad Fort

Agra Fort, Agra:
This UNESCO World Heritage Site was constructed by Mughal Emperor Akbar on the remains of a brick fort, called Badalgarh. Its purpose was to heighten the security of his palace with the use of the place’s central position.  The fort was built with bricks in the inner core and with red sandstones on the external surface. The red sandstones were deported from Barauli area of Rajasthan.

Akbar’s grandson, Shah Jahan who was fond of white marble rather than big red stones, destroyed some inside parts of the fort to personalize it. Rumour has it that after Shah Jahan was deposed and restrained by his son Aurangzeb, he died in a tower of this palace that opens up to the view of Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is just 2.5 km away from this fort.

Golkonda Fort, Hyderabad:
Built by the Kakatiyas Dynasty as part of their Western defence, Golkonda Fort falls on the list of the most humongous forts in India. Golkonda is actually a composite of four forts distinct forts with 10 km long outer wall.

The fort has a very interesting story of engineering. If somebody stands at a certain point below the dome at the entrance and claps his hands, the sound of his clapping can be heard from the highest point of the fort that is almost a kilometre away. This technique was probably used as a warning during enemy attacks. The fort is famous for having mines that produced famous gems like Kohinoor, the Hope Diamond, Nassak Diamond and Noor-ul-Ain among many.

Kumbhalgarh Fort, Jodhpur:
Birthplace of the great Mewar King, Maharana Pratap, Kumbhalgarh is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Rajasthan. It was built by Mewar emperor, Rana Kumbha and was designed by famous architect Mandan in the 15th century. Kumbhalgarh has the longest wall complex in the world with 38 km length.

There is a popular belief that says that the fort was protected by Banmata deity due to which despite several attempts, several rulers failed to attack the fort. Rana Kumbha was fond of art and architecture; to felicitate that, Rajasthan Tourism Department organizes a three-day annual festival in the fort.

Raigad Fort, Raigad:
A fort on the hill? Raigad fort is just that. Situated at 2,700ft above sea level in the Sahyadri Mountain range of Raigad district, Maharashtra, Raigad Fort was the capital of Shivaji after he was crowned as the King of the Maratha Kingdom.

Raigad fort was built by Raje Chandraraoji More of Jawli with the help of his chief architecture Hiroji Indulkar. It was made of woods, of which now only the pillars can be seen. The fort was looted and destroyed in 1818 from the hill of Kalkai by the British.
